KINGDOM      HEAVENS
It is a well-known fact that the Canaanites religion (the 'AL religion) influenced 'AbraHam and so through him Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. These 3 religions acknowledge the one and same God (the God of 'AbraHam), but they differ in their perception of 'AbraHam's God.

The
'AL religion in reality dates back to pre-flood times. We find the name 'AL in the name of Qenan's son, Mahalalel -GENESIS 5: 12.

COMMENT: The name used in the Hebrew text (rendered as MAHALALEL in English) is spelled: Mem, Hé, Lamed, Lamed, 'Aleph, Lamed [MHLL'AL - Mahalal'al] = Priase of 'AL.

'AL is the oldest name for the God of AbraHam. The title "God" in the English versions of the Holy Bible, in 213 instances is the translation of the Canaanite proper name 'AL. For example, the God of AbraHam is called 'AL fifty-six times in the Book of -JOB:

..."
'AL thunders with His voice"...-JOB 37: 5

The proper name of the God of 'AbraHam was
'AL. Here is evidence. In the following Scripture Jacob (Israel) built an altar to 'AL:

..."And he pitched his tent there, and erected an altar, and called it
'AL 'Alohi Yshra'AL ('AL, Divine of Israel)"... -GENESIS 33: 20

..."And
'AL, spoke to Israel (Jacob) in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I. Then He said to him, I am 'AL, the 'ALHYM of your father"... -GENESIS 46: 2-3

The phrase "
'AL, the 'ALHYM (God) of your father" makes it clear that the proper name of the God of the patriarchs ('AbraHam, Isaac, and Jacob) was 'AL.

'AL was the proper name of the Supreme God of the Canaanite pantheon. He is mentioned in numerous passages of the Ugaritic texts. For example:

..."Your decree, O
'AL, is wise, Your wisdom is eternal"...

The Ugaritic texts were written around 1400 B.C.E. They were discovered in modern Syria. 'AbraHam discovered '
AL in Haran of Syria, and then moved to Canaan.

In English Bibles
'AL is also called "The Most High", which in the Canaanite language is: 'Alyon and means: "Most High". The Canaanite God 'AL was the Most High God (the Head God of the Canaanite pantheon). The God of Melchizedek, king of Shalam, who blessed AbraHam -GENESIS 14: 18-20.

'AL ALYON

Certainly, 'AbraHam did not introduce the God
'AL to the Canaanites. He dwelled among them as a stranger. He was not their king to impose his God on them. He learned about 'AL from those who had been worshipping 'AL before him, the Hamitic-Canaanites.

AbraHamitic religious traditions of today rest on pre-Mosaic foundations. Part of these
pre-Mosaic foundations was the worship of the Canaanite God
'AL. The patriarchs worshiped One God, while they believed that other gods existed. They practiced Henotheism. Henotheism continued in the 'AL-istic tradition until the establishment of Monotheism, sometime during the exile (soon after 586 B.C.E.).

Words have meanings relative to time and place. As time goes on, the meanings of words change. Originally
'AL was the proper name of the Supreme God of the Canaanites and Hebrews. After worshipping 'AL for several centuries, the Canaanites abandoned worshipping him and switched to the worship of Baal. After that, the proper name 'AL lost it's prominence. It acquired additional meanings, such as:

1.) God
2.) Power
3.) Mighty

In the Holy Bible, as a rule (i.e. 213 times out of 245), the name
'AL is the proper name of the God of 'AbraHam and in a few exceptional instances is used as a generic term:

1.) God
2.) Power
3.) Mighty

'AL is the Authentic and Original Proper Name of the God of 'Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -EXODUS 6: 3. So 'AL was the Original Proper Name of the God of the ancient Abarim (Hebrews).

'Aloah (Eloah) and 'Alohim (Elohim) are both 'Abari (Hebrew) words, of which the second is the plural of the first. They were formed from the Hamitic Kenaani (Canaanite) words:

1.)
'AL (which is the Propre Name of the Supreme God of the Canaanites in particular).

2.) '
ALIM (which is the plural of 'AL).

'AL = Power.
'
ALIM = Powers.

The 'Abari (Hebrew) word '
Alohim (Elohim) is used in the first chapter of the Book of
-GENESIS
, to designate
'AL (the One Supreme Creator) and the 'ALIM (the secondary gods) as seen in the below Scriptures:

..."Then
'Alohim said, Let Us make 'Adam in Our image, after Our likeness. So 'Alohim created 'Adam in His own image, in the image of 'Alohim He created him; Zakar (male) and Nekaybah (female) He created them"... -GENESIS 1: 26-27

'
AL is the original ancient Proper Name of the One Supreme Kenaani (Canaanite) God.
In ancient Canaanite Myths and Legends
'AL was the head of the pantheon, the King and Father of the 'ALIM (gods), called 'Creator of created things'. His epithet 'Bull' emphasized his strength. His consort was the goddess 'Athirat (Asherah).

According to Canaanite literature, the God '
AL begot seventy sons through the goddess Asherah:

..."'
AL summons Asherah's seventy children"...

Also in the below scripture:

..."In the beginning created '
ALHYM, even the Heavens and even the Earth"...
-GENESIS 1: 1

The Divine Epithet
'ALHYM in the above Scripture at -GENESIS 1: 1, according to scholars of today is a so-called Plural of Majesty, which they claim is pronounce as: "Elohim" and which they give the meaning as: "God(s)".

GOD OF THE SEA

The Divine Epithet
'ALHYM should correctly be rendered in the English language as: 'ALHaYaM which is to say: "God of The Sea"; and not as "Elohim" which means: "God(s). "Elohim" is a plural form because of it's plural suffix "Eloh(im)" and in this form, in it's ordinary sense, makes it mean: "Gods". The singular form of the epithet "Eloh(im)" is "Eloah".

Please let us now consider -GENESIS 1: 2:

..."And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And
HRWKH 'ALHYM (Ha RUKHa 'ALHaYaM = "The Wind of God of The Sea") moved upon the face of the water"... -GENESIS 1: 2

Please Take Note:

..."And
HRWKH 'ALHYM (Ha RUKHa 'ALHaYaM = "The Wind of God of The Sea") moved upon the face of the water"..

In the ancient land of Canaan
'AL was the Head of the Pantheon of Canaanite (Phoenician) Deities. The King and Father of the Deities, called 'Creator of created things'. His epithet 'Bull' emphasized his strength. His consort was the Dessese Athiratu-yammi ('Asherah).

AbraHam (Abram) the Hebrew, was blessed in the name of '
AL -GENESIS 14: 19.
'AL was The Deity of Isaac the father of Jacob (Israel) -GENESIS 46: 2-3. 'AL is the Proper Name of The Deity of Jacob (Israel) par excellence, as the below Scripture plainly states:

..."And he Jacob (Israel) set up there an altar and he called it;
'AL 'Alohi Yshrai'AL ('AL Deity of Israel)"... -GENESIS 33: 20

Being the original people of the land of which the ancient Hebrews lived in, the Canaanites  tribes intermarried with the ancient Hebrews. The Deity that each held to be the King of the Deities was the one and the very same Deity.
